You do not need to be flexible, experienced, or planning to teach. Most people who practise here are not teachers and have no plans to be. This practice begins with sensing rather than with a shape to achieve, so the body leads and the mind listens. The form arrives on its own.

Nothing is forced. There are no handstands to work towards and no hands-on adjustments pushing you further, so you can work at your own level whatever your age or history. A mat and enough floor to lie down and move your arms is all it asks of you.

Moving in a way that you can feel

Most of us learn to move by copying a shape. Embodied practice works the other way round. You start from sensation, from the breath, from the weight of the body as it comes into contact with space and with the ground. The shape arrives on its own. Nothing is forced and nothing is scored.

It draws on classical non-duality, on the study of how bodies are felt and how they move, on breathing practices, and on long study of yoga philosophy. What it asks of you is attention, not athleticism.

“Rasa is not something we seek. It is the quiet fullness that reveals itself through the body, breath and mind, noticed as one flow of awareness.”
